PUGLIA: A PLACE TO DISCOVER!
Life is all about fun and enjoying yourself to the fullest, and Puglia is there to offer you that opportunity. Geographically, Puglia is a long strip of land, approximately 400km from north to south, and commonly referred to as the heel of the boot. Much of the region has a coastline with amazing seaside towns, wonderful beaches and clear sea waters. The beauty of this region is quite unmatched. It will be worth visiting this country: here below you can find some of the most interesting places.
Lecce
Florence of the South, as it’s commonly known for its baroque, hosts more than 40 churches built in mid-17th century with an aim of creating such kind of an urban setup in Italy. It's a peaceful place full of beautiful baroque buildings like the Chiesa di Santa Croce. It's a historical city hosting some of the oldest buildings in the world like the Roman Amphitheater situated near Sant'Oronzo Square, built in the 2nd Century. The city brags about its main export , the 'Lecce stone', which is very soft and malleable, a perfect material for sculptures. The city is also an important agricultural center, mainly for its unmatched olive oil and wine manufacture. The historical atmosphere of this place will drive you crazy.

Bari
Your visit to Puglia will be incomplete without exploring this intricate old town with its, Basilica di San Nicola. It’s one of the largest cities in Puglia and has much to offer considering its state as the commercial and administrative capital of Puglia. Its economic vibrant nature and several harbours attract a quite large number of tourists although most people primarily come here for working or using the place as away to leave for Greece, Albania and Croatia because of the availability of many ferries. Most of beaches around this place are crowded in the summer or during hot weekend as the zone provides a perfect atmosphere for cooling.

Gargano Peninsula
This is a perfect destination for holiday makers as it provides you with amazing steep forested hills and beautiful coastlines that give you irresistible views. The area is full of beautiful beaches of white sand, turquoise waters and amazing caves that give you boat riding experience. The destination is also a way for you to explore the Tremiti Islands where you can find several amazing restaurants specialized in cooking delicious seafood. Another fascinating place located here is Vico del Gargano, an area that houses large fortified walls and towers that give you a wonderful view of the surroundings. The list of what this place has to offer is just endless. It will be worth visiting this place, too.

Salento Peninsula
It’s Puglia's most southern part, housing lots of wonderful beaches as well as eye-catching towns, of which Otranto is the best example. Other places worth to be visited are Gallipoli, Porto Cesareo and Ugento with its wonderful beaches, called “Maldive of Salento”.
The area is well known also for producing high quality extra-virgin olive oil and high quality brands of wines such as Primitivo, Salice Salentino and Negramaro.

Trani
This is one of the Puglia's most attractive seaside towns. It provides you with a beautiful setting and atmosphere that is achieved through its amazing harbour. The Cathedral near the harbour is a perfect example of a Romanesque church that is quite an attractive scenery due to its bizarre carvings on the exterior and wonderful floor mosaics.

Vieste
This is an amazing and attractive town of Gargano. Its whitewashed nature and several wonderful beaches bring out the elegant beauty of this place. The clear white cliffs that are overshadowed by the amazing towering rock monolith, gives you a memorable picturesque idea of the entire area.

Monte Sant'Angelo
This is one of Europe's most significant pilgrimage sites. It's one of the isolated mountaintops that gives you an extraordinary atmosphere. Pilgrims have been making a point of visiting this place for years now, basically for religious reasons. A visit here will give a quality time away from the urban noise and hustle.

Martina Franca
The town is full of picturesque scenes that range from blinding white houses and amazing blood red geraniums. The town will take you through wonderful rococo buildings, such as the Church of S.Martino, without forgetting the airy squares and the narrow streets.

Alberobello
Alberobello is famous in the world for its typical “trulli", ancient stoned-houses with conic roofs which make the town picturesque. It's a UNESCO world Heritage site since 1996 and it’s the emblem of Apulia and a tourist attraction.
